Im wondering if my ozonizer could be more likely to cause hlle with a ground probe or without one.

Would ozone or O3 be influenced by a grounding probe? Or would the elements it reacts with be influenced with electricity.

Idk that they've narrowed HLLE down to any one thing; if referring to carbon use, the alternate use of ozone would remove carbon from the equation

Yes ive read about activated carbon dust causing the condition. Im not convinced its because of the dust getting into the lateral line of the fish. Not unless they do that study where they filter carbon dust with a .1 micron filter first and see what happens.

So you're using the ozonizer in the room for the air as a purifier, or...? I run an ozone system on my tank - and I run carbon post-ozone to remove any traces.
No as a water Clarifier. It masks any yellow tint to the water making it look like ro water in a white bucket. Brs has a video showing how it works.

Yes, I've been running an ozone system on my tank since summer (along with a UV and carbon). The water is super crystal clear. No issues with any of my fish, but my setup sounds different from yours.

When I read that they didn't wash the carbon first...I just don't understand that. That's something everyone that uses carbon does so it doesn't represent the method of use of the majority of people.... definitely needs to be studied more it seems

Doesn't everyone rinse their carbon at least briefly...?

Exactly; so right off the bat the scenario was different.

Bleaching my clothes is safe but if I drink the bleach as step one in that process its no longer safe...but nobody does that...

Just like nobody adds carbon without rinsing it first so the experiment does not represent the way we use carbon imo

I don’t see any reason to think there is any cross effect between ozone and a grounding probe for any effects, good, bad, or otherwise.
