I'm curious why does high orp kill things even though the ozone is removed at the exit?

It's removed from the air you breathe. It's not removed from the water. It's highly unstable. It will break down into harmless O2 and O. That single O is an oxidizer of anything organic. At high enough levels, not just dissolved organics we want to be removed, it will also go after corals, fish, etc. that are also organic. Note that not everyone removes ozone with activated carbon and just lets it into the air in their house, but I think that's insane. I manage a condo association and have had to hire professionals to sterilize them after someone dies but isn't found right away. There is always tons of body flies when that happens. The ozone gets rid of the smell and it kills the flies. (I've seen them in the thousands).

Right, but what I'm asking is when its removed by carbon at the exit of a skimmer, is high orp possible to kill things?

I think it may be more association of high ORP with highly oxidized species such as bromate that are themselves very reactive with organic tissues and are toxic.
