I added an ORP probe and ozone generator. How long does it take for the ORP probe to “stabilize?” How much ozone do you run? I’m looking for averages. I want to target an ORP of 400. Thanks!

I also started ozone , I was hoping to use without silicate for removing moisture, if moisture preset may cause nitric acid, my was adding nitric, ph went low very low. Waiting to try again soon. Also lost some corals. Bummer

Mine caused a ORP boost within a week but the clarity was obvious within a day.

Do you remember the trend? I started at 181 when I put the probe in two days ago. Now it’s getting up to 285 but trends down at night.

The clarity was great within hours!

Mine Started at around 250 and I have boosted it to about 350. I would not recommend boosting more than 150 points. ORP should not have a target value. you are only looking for trends.

I bought the cheapy version on amazon the WEIPRO 200 and it gave immediate results but I cannot seem to break the 400 threshold and that is in a nano 8gallon system. I would advise against this unit and get a better quality one. Buy something with a reputation from somewhere like bulkreefsupply.com. BRS stands behind their products. Also, run the air dryer inline when possible to extend the life of the ozone unit. Run carbon at the output of your skimmer also if you are running it through a skimmer.

I use an Ozotech 300mg per hour unit. it works very well. Too well in fact it is turned down half way because I smell ozone with it any higher even with carbon on the output. It was expensive but you get what you pay for.

I have an Ozotech unit as well. I have to power it with an air pump which is odd. I didn't realize they were made this way. So far, the ORP is gradually increasing. Today it was in the low 300s. My pH is swinging between 8.30 and 8.40 daily.
