Anyone use one of these? I want to get one but get feedback on it and couldn't find any reviews on it. Seems like it will be very beneficial. It is a big responsibility to care for fish taken from the wild. We should all thrive to give them the best possible environment.

Edit: I am sold on it and ordered the 1.5 inch model. I can't wait to get it. A review will be posted when I setup up and have it running for a few weeks.

Thanks for the link. Will be reading now.

1. Low pH – without the proper degassing of CO2, there is an inexhorbitant amount of CO2 in a reef system......
So, with this device, the open ended degassing of the water column is vital in the expulsion of CO2.
But what about the skimmer? Is it not enough to degas? Unfortunately, no. The closed design of attempting to keep the smell of the skimmate locked in to the collector cup also is effective in trapping CO2 in the skimmer canister. CO2 has an affinity to be dissolved into water and is easily infused into the water with little energy.
The P2O device is needed to create a substantial amount of cavitation internal to the device such that as it exits, the CO2 gas is disturbed enough to be released from the water column and to naturally aspirate.

2. Bacterial infestation – The history of silver in water spoilage remediation. Silver is almost always monovalent in its compounds, but an oxide, a fluoride, and a sulfide of divalent silver are known. It does not oxidize in air but reacts with the hydrogen sulfide present in the air, forming silver sulfide (tarnish). This is why silver objects need regular cleaning. Silver is stable in water.
Silver Ions are also utilized in the remediation of bacterial overgrowth and has been utilized in multiple areas of human health regimens as well as polluted water remediation.
From mankind’s earliest history, silver has been used in the making of food and drink vessels and eating utensils because of silver’s anti-bacterial properties. Silver coins were used to preserve milk before refrigeration was invented. Silver urns and pitchers were used to ****** water spoilage by the wealthy and by armies engaging in long military campaigns. Sucking on silver utensils and silver coins has been used to gain immunity against such diseases as the Bubonic Plague. This historical use of silver has progressed to using a more refined and bio-available form of silver in much smaller particles called colloidal silver.
The P2O Reactor also utilizes the static electricity generated by running water and ionizes it by passing it passively over the strategically positioned silver ion tabs located internally to the P2O Reactor. This ionization renders bad “gram negative” bacterium inert and in a zombie like state in which they do not multiply. This allows for the good gram positive bacteria (nitrifying bacteria) to outcompete the inert bad bacteria and allows for “non-spoiling” of the captive reef ecosystem.

3. Electrostatic Utilization – This charging of water re-energizes “water” in a good way. The alignment of water molecules is called polarization. The polarization allows the water to be able to absorb charged organic sludge in the system and creates micro-currents that work in the same manner as static electricity in regards to hair and dust to an electrostatically charged balloon. It is not harmful to reef organisms or any aquatic organism in minutely dispersed electrostatic transfers. This is what makes running water “fresh” as opposed to a stagnant pond of water.
What the P2O Reactor is recreating is the “running water” portion of the equation. Once again, the question is asked, “Isn’t my skimmer running and increased flow from my return pump sufficient?” The answer is, unfortunately, no because of the immediate grounding to the device itself (Provided that the unregulated power @ 120VAC is not damaged)

Waves crashing on the beach create static electricity. Running water from rivers entering the ocean at different dielectric mediums create static electricity. Clouds passing each other during a thunderstorm create static electricity....."

I am a skimmer person and understand volumes but I am not moved to believe this to be true in a proven factual manner.
Can you clarify this statement?

1. CO2 is not "trapped" in a "closed" skimmer as the skimmer is not "closed". The skimmer *has* to vent, in some manner, exactly the same amount of air/water that is injected into it.....if it didn't, the skimmer would become pressurized and fail spectacularly. As that does not happen, that statement cannot be true.

2. The World Health Organization did an extensive study on silver and water purification. It was deemed largely ineffective. Where it did show some bacterial reduction in was in colder, lower pH water. We run warm, relatively higher pH water in our tanks, where it is least effective. The silver also accumulated in the brain, kidneys, and other tissue of mammals. Not sure if this is desirable. However, I was unable to find any peer-reviewed scientific studies on the effects of silver in seawater. All the studies I found were for freshwater.
There was no evidence that silver only affected "bad" bacteria and allowed only "good" bacteria to thrive...can you share any evidence of this?
3. What is static electricity supposed to do? How does this device produce more static electricity than any other pump that has fluid flow?
