P3 to P4

I Currently have a p3 and want to add a SMS module for more security when i am out of town. From what i am reading, the p4 can send some message alert so i am thinking, for the same price i should just upgrade to a p4? i am thinking right?
I have an expansion box and 2 doser pump units is it compatible with P4?

The P3 can also send email messages. Just like the P4. I don't know if the the SMS module is compatible with the p4. The expansion box and dosers are compatible with the p4

How can you manage to get email alert from the p3?
so the sms module use is for what? sending SMS only?

I haven't set my P4 up yet (otherwise I'd know the answer ). Can't you just send SMS messages via email without needing extra hardware?

They make a wholely separate SMS radio for emergency situations when you have no internet service and you can use a battery back up to keep in touch with a tank in such a situation.

Regarding the ProfiLux 4, PAB-SMS Module doesn't seem that it'll be necessary once the fallback power outage mode is implemented.
