I have a Planet Aquariums 72x30x25. I intended to run without a sump and ordered it that way. I've recently decided to make go saltwater.
The question I have is what "ghost style" overflow would work with the trim on the top of the tank while keeping the waterline hidden by the to trim. I'd really like to keep it without a canopy, but really don't want to see the waterline. The trim is 1 3/8".
Thank you

My apologies for the confusion. The tank was originally intended for cichlids with canister filters. I have decided to make a saltwater tank instead. I will of course be running a sump and all necessary equipment.
My question was regarding adding a ghost style overflow such as the synergy, reef savvy, or others without the waterline being visible below the plastic trim around the top of the tank.

I have a synergy ghost overflow and they have templates for drilling holes. Aslong as the weirs are halfway up above the frame you should be fine with the waterline. I have about 1" of space before the eurobracing and Id likeit higher but I run high flow and the waves pretty much hit the eurobracing throughout the day so height is ideal. I believe synergy has a good DIY video on youtube that may help more. good luck

Thank you. I will look into it.
Anyone have experience with other overflows? Such as the Reef Savvy or Modular Marine?
