Just got this gorgeous tank mate today
Small now and will be moved on once too sizeable as I only have 30gal tank.
I need a fish for caulerpa control

Tangs generally won’t eat caulerpa, I’ve never owned one that would (including sailfins). Also, it will need to be rehomed within a few months (30g is likely already too small). Waiting too long to rehome can cause serious negative health consequences and drastically lower lifespan, so its best to rehome sooner rather than later.

Foxfaces are also going to grow too big for your tank. If it were left to me I’d have a 180 or more for their entire life, JMO.

Understand that on both counts.
Just rehomed 2 rabbits.
That foxface lasted 6 months.
If I don't get a bigger tank I'll rehome this fish

Funny part is that the Foxface you rehomed will typically mow down caulerpa. Prolly why you see it now... How long ago did you rehome the fox?

Also check out a sea hare... One of the varieties are known to eat caulerpa.

Yes you don't know what you got till it's gone.
The caulerpa has grown only since removing the rabbits.
They loved the stuff.
Really should have got the lurks one instead of the sail fin
