Which model is this? Looks like 2 separate modules, right? Doesn't seem like there are any optics, how does the light look? Does it just throw light everywhere?
Sorry for all the questions, I've been looking into LEDs for some time. These are very interesting but the manufacturers web site bites.

Black Python is modular unit. I got BP 120W - just like Mark. I ordered 36" Deimos for my b-day :-) 120 focus lenses on them.

light? - well, if you want LED light beams - thats not the right light. if you want nice even spread - thats the light for you. chek thei videos on YouTube.

see what the light can do:

if you find anything better - let me know.

Saw the video looks really nice. But it didn't show the fixture very well. Must they be hidden in a canopy or can they be used pendant style?

Is the light programming Mac compatible or just Windows?

What kinda coverage do they provide? How many modules would I need for a 25x25x25 cube tank (65 cube)?

Thanks again!

Your tank is not ideal for them - I would go with one 120W BP or 2 90W units. it depends on you aquascaping.

Thanks man, ya I read I think just about everything there was available on the net last night with these lights!

Just trying to figure out if I would need 2 90w or 1 120 watt?

tank dimensions, corals and structure of you aquascpaing - key factors.

answer is simple - if you have SPS and lean towards SPS - go with 120W.

mix reef and will not go into SPS - 90W. but I would go with 120W - you can always lower the % of light, but you cant jump from 90W to 120W.

as far as reading - a lot of stuff on MR. real people, real pictures, real answers. the first time they did it on MR - they had a guy from Denmark in that group buy too.

they had little problems like poor hanging kits but no major complains ala lights not working etc.

Ya, I jumped over there and read just about every single word on the site.

The only thing stopping me from dropping the cheese, is Mac compatibility and availability. Also I like a bit more reassurance that they can be serviced here in the US rather than sending them back to Poland.

Bob

That was one of my concerns, its not an american product and parts come from outside the US.

I went with Aqua Illuminations and couldn't be happier.

Mac - it is not ready. the software is written in VB for Windows. ask Azazel on MR about Mac - he is the software designer for them.

As far as warranty and spare parts - people would be all over on MR if there were any problems and service was not done properly.

I agree with this point, but the Python has more versatility with the setting and bluetooth etc. wider range in K lighting possibilities too. I don't like how focused the light is with the AI either. plus its white, I want black:angel:
