Paddlefin Wrasse murdered all 4 firefish smh

I added a firefish a month ago and he went missing instantly the next day. I thought he may have just been hiding. Waited days and never saw him again. I recently added 3 firefish. While I was more concentrated watching my new angels and butterfly fish, I did see my paddlefin chasing my firefish. I didn't think too much of it. Then I saw one in the sand and other 2 near the top corner of the tank. Then an hour later, only see 1 left. Sucks but I know I won't add anymore small vulnerable fish like firefish anymore. I have a small cleaner wrasse in qurantine and I'm wondering if he'll get eaten too or will it be fast enough to evade danger?

Not really surprising for this type of wrasse. They are aggressive and territorial. The cleaner is probably a goner as well.

300g 8ft. Yes the males are super cool looking.

Surprisingly the paddlefin never attacked it. Its been busy cleaning just about every fish in the tank except my flame hawkish pair and clowns.

Paddlefish wrasse is very attractive. Aggression can be high but very dependent on the individual specimen, its tank mates and when added. If adding him last in a tank of tangs and angels it would be fine. If adding smaller peaceful fish after paddle established, he can be aggressive.

I almost added a pink face wrasse but could only imagine if they fought lol... 2 beautiful super active aggressive wrasses..
