How long have you successfully kept SPS?
Define success. :bigsmile: I can't keep a frag more than a couple of weeks to save my life. So that may be an issue. Zeo is not a solution for corals that are not surviving. Zeo is really a way to take a successful SPS tank to the next level. Before going down the zeo path, you may want to get a handle on just keeping SPS alive.
Can you maintain nitrate <10 and phosphate <.1 with water changes and skimming?
No Sweat. I'm already there. Very nice. What are your water parameters? trates and phates please.
How often do you test your water?
2X a week. With zeo, you will need to test daily. Once you get a feel for how your tank is reacting to zeo, you can test less. Get yourself a potassium test kit as well.
What is your net water volume?
Roughly 90 G I would follow the dosing recommendations for 75 gallons
What lighting do you have?
HOT5x6. Reef Radiance 155e LED X2 should be here this week. I'm a T5 guy, but I've been able to keep some nice colors with a Kessil A350W over my sump. Some of my corals turned green though.
What type of flow in your tank?
WP 40 + a 600 GPH Koralia pump + Return Great job on the WP40. Why not another WP40? I had 13 koralias. Every single one of them eventually failed. In my 100g display, I have a TUNZE 6305, TUNZE 6105, TUNZE Nano Wavebox, 2 Jaebo WP40s, Reeflo Super Dart Gold... and I still have dead spots. You need to ensure all of your SPS Polyps are dancing around. Make sure they move like a field of grass in the wind.
Ozone or UV Sterilization?
Nope Good. Ozone and/or UV is counter productive in a zeo tank
What type of Salt do you use?
Oceanic Never used Oceanic, but I do use Brightwell salt. My reason for going with Brightwell is the high potassium and low alk. Higher alk in a zeo tank can give you burnt tips. Higher nutrient levels seem to be more forgiving with the higher alk.
What is the flow through your reactor?
Not sure but I have a Bubble Magus Wp1000 pump. Dunno if that's too much flow. Get yourself a cup that measures ml or fluid oz. Before I give you a flow rate to target, can you tell me how much of the media you have in the reactor.
Have you read the zeo guide yet? Great! Keep going back to it and using it as a reference. Use less than recommended to start. First, you really need to find out why you cannot keep SPS for more than a couple weeks. I know you already have to reactor in your sump, but zeo may just cause headaches if your not able to keep them healthy with just the basics.
