Good evening all!
I have a question about the paid membership, what does it offer? Perhaps some explanation is missing from my screen. I am happy if it goes to support the page, just looking for info.
I see with a vendors membership of $300 or $350 I can advertise, we will explore this in the future once I can properly navigate R2R.

Any help is much appreciated,
Sincerely,
The Computer illiterate Coral Dragon.

Nobody's obligated to pay obviously but your tone screams entitlement and selfishness. Platforms like this aren't free and while the owner probably rakes in some good $$$ from it, he deserves it for having the vision, maintaining a great community and continuously investing in it for the benefit of all. If you're in the hobby and you're balking at $25 for all that it brings compared to what you already spend, just don't know what to say... But to just say it like it is lol.

Woah whoa!! Easy there. I am brand new, I even asked if it goes to support the page because I am happy too. I would just like to know what paying does if anything.

Perhaps I worded this wrong, I am happy to support the page and I am wondering if that is what the money goes toward. I am not barking at the cost. I am even happy to spend further once I figure R2R out.

Spend some time here, ignore hot heads like me (it's past my bed time) and evaluate the collective wealth of knowledge and experience the platform brings forth and preserves. The money goes into the company or however this thing is organized but maintaining and improving it does cost money and they are constantly giving back to the community in both tangible and intangible ways. Personally after a month or two I jumped in. Welcome and sorry if I responded strongly

Oh... That's not the way it came across. Sorry if I misinterpreted
That was not my intention. I am happy to support this page, I would like to know if that's what the membership is for. If paying does anything beyond that I probably wouldn't even know it happened without a heads up. I just found the trophies a few days ago. I dont know R2R at all.

@The Coral Dragon welcome. You can start by introducing yourself on the neet and greet thread here...

There are lots of great people with a wealth of knowledge. Once you are comfortable then you can become a supporting member. Your monetary contribution will help continue to fund the forum and all its great resources. Once a year there is an opportunity to become a partner member. This is a higher contribution but comes with extra perks and benefits (and some great swag)

Happy reefing! :)

I figured out how to edit. I see how that could have been read 100% wrong.

TBF it didn’t come across as rude, you asked a question in the feedback section, asking for some clarification, wasn’t like you dropped this in the lounge, you even signed off as computer illiterate, hinting that it was probably you that was missing the answer.

@Peace River wondering if you can help this gentlemen with his “where does the money go” question.

@The Coral Dragon you’re in a great place for reefing. Membership is sort of a badge of honor from what I can tell most of the proceeds from this site go to host content on massive servers and giveaways and such. I tagged someone that might be able to give abit more detail to help.

Lol! You made my night.
One of the best things I was taught is; "there is more than one way to interpret EVERYTHING ".
I do see where I went wrong in my question.

Thank you so much!

I should say I’ve done both the R2R Supporter (anytime) level and the R2R Partner Membership (Happens once a year)
Partner Member gets you some sweet R2R swag and raffle tickets into a annual giveaway that sponsors donate too. You also get the Partner Member badge as well.
