I am about to do some painting on a wall unit in the same room as my tank. I will also be getting sanded. Will the fumes of the pair harm the tank? And is getting dust in the tank a problem for the fish. No coral yet tho. What do you recommend. Thanks

Can you cover your tank to avoid any sand going in your tank? Not sure about the paint honestly

Yeah I can cover it with a blanket

I recently painted around the area where my tank is and used the large plastic sheets from Home Depot / Lowes to create a bubble around my tanks using the sheets + painter's tape. I also ran the skimmer airline outside to circulate fresh air. I made sure to "bubble" the tanks until the paint was dry and the paint odors were gone.

What kind of paint are you using? I was told that latex-based isn't too bad for leeching toxins while drying and to look for low / no VOC paint if possible.

This cost $4 at Home Depot
