Paint on the inside of tank

Joey from diy said in one of his vids that you can safely use spray paint for plastic an once it drys it’s non-toxic. I was gonna make a pvc overflow when I setup the 29 gallon. Has anyone ever done this?? The paint an pvc overflow?

When paint is dry, it is essentially a plastic.

Krylon and other manufactures of spray paints recommend that you do not us these spray paints inside the aquarium.... people say they have used spray paint for these types of projects with no “visible” side effects, but I personally would never do it.

I agree. I have been urged to paint my white PVC overflows black with plastic paint. I have also read some have used it with no ill effects but I would rather stay on the side of caution and not use it.
