Lowes also sells plasti dip. If you want to get crazy dipyourcar.com sells any color under the sun. Just use any acrylic paint and you'll be fine. Only issue I ran into with a roller is that if the first coat isn't completely dry like waiting a full 24 hours between coats the second coat will fudge up the first coat royally. It's 10x easier if you just take the time to tape off the tank with painters tape and newspapers and use black spray paint. If your worried about it running in overspray areas its fine it only shows on the back of the tank where no one see's anyways it won't show up on the veiwing side of the glass.

I want to paint my tank black and roll it on. Is there any particular paint i should get? Eggshell, satin, gloss, semi gloss, matte. Any particular brand that works better for glass?

I use flat hoby paint from Walmart and I just love it,I use blue easy on with a roller and if you don't like it you can just scape it off.
