What would you use to paint the inside of your stand? I know most people do not do this but i think it looks great. I rember seeing one painted with Kilz and thought about using that. Any advise

I have Kilz'd the entire structural portion of my stand. I'll be painting over it with another white paint because it gets sticky. By this I mean if you press against it for a period of time, when you pull off whatever was on there, the paint wants to stick, which may peel some Kilz off with it. Luckily I'm doing this before my stand is built, otherwise I imagine it'd be much more difficult.

i used kilz to seal the inside of the stand and canopy then I used a exterior porch paint on top for final coat. very please with the results.

If you used a oil based kilz it would be fine... For the best protecion you can get that would be a 2 part epoxy such as sweetwater... Polyurethane also will get the job done and look nice...I always just clear the inside with a poly to protect it from moisture...

i used a behr simi-gloss enamel, stand was about 3 years old when i upgraded and didnt see any problems with when i took it down and looked it over.

I've used Kilz before and also have used an exterior oil based paint for porches

I just painted the fish stand that I build a few weeks ago, and also did the inside. Used a combo satin black stain/polyurethane product from Home Depot. With evaporation from sump you'd want some form of protection on the inside as well.
