I bought a pair of clownfish a few years ago and the other day I found my male clownfish dead which is the smaller of the 2 clownfish and a hermit crab was eating it so I think that the hermit got it while it was sleeping on the bottom of the tank so now I'm wondering if I can get another clownfish to pair with the female because I'm pretty sure that it's the female because it's the biggest one or if I'll never be able to get it to pair again does anyone know what I can do about this??

Look for a smaller clown, one mixed in with a group of young clowns and not the dominate clown in the tank. Use an acclimation box, personally I would put the existing clown in the box, let the new clown settle in the tank for a couple days.
