Hey all,
After my female ocellaris passed as a result of swim bladder complications (she was 19), I waited a couple weeks and just purchased a small male ocellaris to pair with the clown that has now become female (as the old female faded she made the clear gender change with a lot of growth). After qt I put the female in a small breeder box for freshwater fish and let the male have the tank. For the first hour things were fine though they didn't pair. During the last 2 feedings there has been chasing (female not letting male eat). I'm thinking I should put the female back in the box. Should I? Also, I have a sunburst anthias that will be going in on Saturday (I always put new fish in that box to make sure they are eating in the display and so tankmates get used to them before adding). What would you guys do in this situation?
70g LPS reef
2 ocellaris clownfish
1 flashlight fish
1 leopard wrasse
1 lemonpeel angelfish
1 yellow watchman goby
1 sunburst anthias (adding on Saturday)
