Pairing clowns

I recently added a pair of clowns that were together in an LFS did t think they were paired but at least were together brought them home they were good for a couple of days then 1 started to show aggression I’ve separated them but still see some aggression see video ! Strangely enough the aggressor seems to have formed a bind with a magnificent fix face I have in the tank anyone seen anything like this before

cant see video but its how one asserts whos going to be the dom and will start to slowly phase into being a female.

one of my pairs went through this phase the female still picks on the male sometimes but its rare.

I've separated them in an acclimation box in the tank has been in there for 3 days thinking of releasing him again and see how it goes I was concerned cause it seems the aggression was getting worse wasn't even letting him eat he was in the san and barely swam around and at feeding time the other one would not even eat to keep the other one from eating. I've been feeding him in the box for a couple of days and he's eating but still sits at bottom of box most of the time, think I should release him back in the tanks?
