Pairing fish

I have a platinum clown could I pair it with a Picasso clown? Or what other type of. Clown could I use? The female just passed away. So want a friend.

some clowns will cross species however it is more likely that the two will fight for territory at this juncture.
 
I have had luck introducing new fish, make sure they are similar in size so one does not get killed immediately and they will work it out. The combination you mentioned would be fine, they are close enough, and probably the same species.
 
I went through the same thing recently. My female clown passed away. I purchased new clown that was slightly bigger than my male. There was some bickering in the beginning, but it calmed down quickly. I would plan on observe them for the first couple of days and have a backup plan just in case.

So if they don't kill each other in a few hours should be fine.. How do I know if they gonna fight while I'm sleeping lol. I get paranoid hate when things die. Even fight.

No guarantees with animals. For better success get the biggest size different you can. A female that is twice as big as a male, of any species (exception with the maroon clown) of clownfish and they have a good chance of pairing.
