Do clown fish turn pale-ish when resting? I have 2 clowns in their 2nd week of QT now and I don't have a dimmer on the QT led lights. I turned it on to feed tonight and the smaller one was very pale around the face. I tried to get a pic but he won't stop moving. Anytime the light is on he eats like a pig now both frozen mysis and garlic pellets and swims constant laps. I counted 55 laps last time I tried counting. Am I just being a fish hypochondriac? My meds for my prophylactic treatments aren't in yet. But if I should run to the lfs I can.

It's a 15 gal. Quarantine seeded with bio spiria and 30% water changes every 3 days. Ammonia badge and tests haven't showed any ammonia or nitrites.

I wasn't sure if this thread belonged in the disease forum. If it does can a mod please move it :)

Sounds like a clown that was sleeping to me. As long as the clown is eating and swimming normally, not breathing hard or at the surface I would not be too concerned.

+2 for sleeping. The biggest disease concern for clowns is Brooklynella, but symptoms for that are pretty obvious. I do advocate prophylactic ich treatment for clownfish due to their incredibly thick mucous coat. Trophonts can hide out in the gills. A dewormer such as Prazipro is also a good idea.
