What would cause my 2 palys and green star to not open up now? They are about a week into the tank. They were open the first few days and now they don't want to open. What else should I check? How long should I take to acclimate the light, LED with dimmer. 20% whites 30% blues.

This is how things have been measuring

Phosphates are high, and your SG is low. Try shooting for .05 or less on phosphates and 1.025-1.027 on the SG side. May have an affect for you. Might want to try keeping the ALK lower, maybe at 8-9 see if that helps also.
Acclimating you can up the % 10 a week until you are back to normal conditions you had before.
Also, I wouldn't let your CAL get below 380 in the future.

What about dosing iodide. I was just reading about it. I dose a little daily. I think I will stop for a bit. Is there test kit for that.

OK good info. Can't really do much about salinity till this weekend when I can buy salt. I usually run it about 1.026 but I didn't quite have enough on my last water change.
Think there would be much harm if I took some water from one of my other tanks

Don't think you'd be able to use enough to jump it much though, but it wouldn't harm anything, as long as the parameters are the same.

I tested last night and this is what I've got now. I'm dosing kent liquid calcium daily, don't know if that isn't as good as the b-ionic. But it dropped big time. I will be getting an api phos-zorb filter and doing my water change tomorrow. Normally like 30% but would 50% be too drastic. I don't know what I can do about alkalinity.
