Hey guys and gals, i've had this colony of what I believe are palythoa grandis in my tank for a couple months now. The largest polyps are about the size of a quarter and the smallest about the size of dime. Anyone have a name for these? Thank you!

They don't look anything like the Grandis Ive owned... but that's not saying they are not. The ones I had were about the size of a half dollar I had both the green and the cinnamon and they both had a unique design in the middle

Hmm maybe just some type of zoanthid? I'm no expert when it comes to these guys at all. They are honestly pretty plain, no real unique markings or colors. I'll try to get a better/closer picture when I get home from work. Thank you for your input!

They look like "Green Button Polyps." I believe those are a Protopalythoa like Nomadic said, but they are not P. grandis. They can get a more green coloration under more intense lighting. They tend to be fast growers, so keep an eye out that they don't overtake anything nearby. Also be aware that they do contain significant amounts of palytoxin, so take care if ever fragging thm!
