Paly head not opening

Hey guys, I recently set up my tank almost a month ago now. Everything is going well, my torch and gsp corals are both doing well. I added a Paly about 4 days ago. It had two heads, one was a lot smaller. At first they seemed to be doing well but after the first day the bigger head closed up and hasn’t opened since. I’m wondering if it is dying or it looks like it might be splitting, I have no idea how this works so it’s just a guess. Sorry for the bad pics my water is super cloudy (not sure why) and I’m using my phone for the pics

Is that middle bottom directly under the light?
Try moving it to the far edge or into a shaded spot.

Yeah it is. I’ve got a prime 16hd about 10” from the water and the tank is about 16” deep. Do you think that is too much light? The guy at the store told me they usually like more light than zoas

Looks like one head is melting and has some sort of algae growing over it. Dip it in some RO/DI with iodine and brush around the bottom of the Zoa. Then place it back in a lower lit area.

Do you think less light would save it or is it too late?

Can anybody else chime in? I’m not sure if light is the issue I’m running my prime on acclimation mode at 40% and I have a torch and gsp higher up which are doing well. Is this still too much light for the Paly?
