Has anyone ever seen these before?

FG, your picture is a little too out of focus for me to say for sure, but at first glance, if I was going to hazard a guess, I would say this is a maybe.

The Coral Vault :: Coral Database - PPRPE

Any chance of a clearer picture? Doesn't have to be a macro, just a little more in focus.

Fender is the mouth slit green? white ? and how does it look closed up ?
Definitely gigantus and not sp. but when close does it resemble typical PE watermelon design when closed ?

The mouth is green but not like P.e.'s. And no watermelon stripes when closed.

They are very large for a zoanthid..

All the PEs are Zoanthus gigantus, some get nickle to quarter size, still a zoanthid.

Although if it lacks the green and watermelon stripping, its probably not a PE then - darn I was gonna suggest Hawaiian Sticky Punch.

had a couple polyps similar to this but not nice like yours which has the blotching in the center and around the mouth plus specks.
