I believe these are palythoas and if not I feel like it’s could be some type of toxic coral. Does anyone know what it is?

If they are tube worms I’d honestly be surprised but that’s my other guess of what they could be. However, they look and are spreading more like some type of coral.
 
Well I just answered my own question. Colonial hydroids! Good to know they probably won’t release toxins if I try and remove them. And wow I never considered that. I always thought it was a coral.
 
Oddly enough... I didn't even know i was.... huh... maybe i didn't get enough coffee.
That 100 % could be actually both of our problems….

I have the exact same things in my tank. they are popping up all over my rockwork in random places. I wonder how they got there. The rock they are growing on was dry rock; they must have come from the one piece of live rock I put in and spawned or something.

You know now looking at it I think I found some of those in my tank….but wasn’t concerned
