Hey guys,

Pretty new to the forum and the saltwater game, so let me know if I do something wrong.

I bought my 24gallon tank a few months ago, which was already established. I dose to keep my parameters at around... Calc-450, alk-10, temp 78-80.

Everything seems to be doing well. I have mainly softies with some sps/lps.

I bought some palys (lucky charm palys) about three weeks ago. I drip acclimated them and started them at the bottom of the tank, with lowish flow. Eventually half the polyps opened, but the other half stayed closed and created "nubs". After a week and a half, I moved them higher and in higher flow with no changes. They didn't change after a week and a half. So I moved them lower again.

I got different palys the same time that I got these and have not had any problems with them.

Any questions and advice are appreciated!

Thanks!

Zoas may just act up sometimes.
I once had a polyp I paid $20 for close up on my for about 3 weeks.
I was sure I was going to lose it...
I dipped mine in iodine, coral revive and it come back just fine.
Now, even with the light off it stays open.
I'm just glad it didn't happens to my $350 polyp.. Lol
