Palys closing backwards

Anyone ever seen your palys close backwards when touched. Ive seen a few polyps do it from time to time but for the past month when stimulated almoat all close the opposite way than normal. Basically they open further and curl their tenticals down instead of closing around the mouth like normal. A few of them doing it in this pic.

Yes I have. What causes this? Too much flow maybe.
 
Here is a better pic after broadcast feeding some LRF. More polyps are bent around backwards in this pic due to grabbing stuff but they dont really eat anything now because the tenticals go towards their base and not the mouth. Crabs just typically come steal from them since they started doing this. Maybe i will change my carbon out. Could be some chemical toxin or something causing this. I donno just a guess...any other ideas on why they started doing this?
