So I got this wonderful colony for 30$ it's been two days since in my tank . I did a 50% water change today as my nitrates were higher than I would of liked.( Due to over feeding on my end). I noticed a couple getting these marks on them. Almost like they are dying? Can anyone tell me what's going on please? I did feed them with reef roids today and noticed it after they ate.

The last pick was them yesterday before the water change and reef roids.

Salinty 1.25-1.27 depending on evaporation

Phos.0.0
Nitrates before 50% water change 20ppm
Dkh9
Calcium 400

They also we're very stressed from the cleaning and fully closed and released there stringy stuff when they get ticked. and some of the stringy stuff had green neon coloration to it.

I read them but what about...Mag? Ammonia? Nitrite? If your Sg is fluctuating that much consistently you’re going to have issues especially with newer/sensitive frags.
How do I get it not to fluctuate so much? It seems one day 1.25. then after a day or two of evaporation it goes up to 1.26 then by day 5 and I need to add water because of evap it's at 1.27 after 5 days no touching it no adding chemicals.

I don't have a tester for those ☹️ just the api reef one. My salt is fluva reef salt. So my levels stay consistent because of the salt hopefully. I need to get a more broad test kit I feel.

Only way is Auto Top Off (ATO), unless you are religious about checking salinity and topping off manually. By religious I mean checking and topping off a lot during the day.

And of course depending on weather, evaporation rates change daily.

I would pull them out in a bowl of tank water, trying not to expose to air and coral dip them outside, make sure to wear safety glasses, gloves and a long sleeve top. These green palys are pretty nasty and that slime will kill everyone around. I have these and I'm extra precautious when handling and moving them. Always wash your hands after touching them.

They are very nasty. You are better off without them in your tank. The OP was talking about their having the ability to kill you, not what’s in your tank. Palytoxin is not worth screwing with.
