My cinnamon palythoa grandis has recently changed. Normally, the mouth is a slit but now there is a growth coming out of the mouth or attached to the mouth. It looks like a little stem with a round dark colored tip. I first noticed something was odd when I saw this thing moving around in the current. I don't know if it could be bubble algae that has attached itself to the mouth of the grandis that I should remove or to leave it alone.

Try taking out the zoanthid and dipping it, if and when the object falls off you’ll be able to identify it better, you can also just try to pluck it off the zoa with tweezers...
