Palythoa grandis Closed Up for a month

I have a Palythoa grandis that was just 1 polyp, but then spread to 2. I had the main one glued to a small rock and the baby had grown onto a different rock. The larger one's rock got knocked loose from the glue and the rock and polyp were hanging by a thread that connected both polyps. I don't know how long it was hanging but they both looked pretty upset. I tried to situate them but it happened a second time, so i just cut the thread between them. Now, both have been closed for close to 6 weeks. How long can they stay closed? They don't look like they are dying, just sitting there closed.

I had one come off the puck and in the process of trying to reattach it. Hurt it and it stayed closed for like a month. Then, it never fully opened for the longest time and just lately got some more color and opening up bigger. It took forever to look healthy.
