Palytoxin Question

In your opinion as a chemist do you think a palytoxin toxoid or a recombinant catalytically inactive palytoxin would work best for a vaccine? Doing a research project for one of my grad classes and figured I would ask the reef chemist expert lol
 
I would think it would depend on how you inactivated the palytoxin and what recombination you did you reduce catalytic activity, but I'd prefer to develop the latter, even if it might be more complicated. It is likely more reproducible.
 
Thanks, thats what I was thinking, plus it would keep the native shape.
