i moved my zoanthid from one side of the tank to the other, no gloves. Feeling a bit weird, like heart palpitations that won’t go away. No headache, no body ache, just chest palpitations. Anyone else experience this ? Ever?

If you think you've suffered poisoning of any type, I would advise seeking medical attention immediately.

yikes, thats def out of the ordinary. Now did u were u wearing gloves, any cuts anywhere, where the poison could have entered into your blood stream. I would def seek medical attention if this is out of the ordinary. Keep us updated.........

No gloves and no open wounds on my hand

Maybe getting married and having second thoughts?

Edit: Ok, ok. Just teasing. When in doubt get to the ER or your primary care depending on you or yours best judgement. No one is going to tell you to stick it out or wait. Hope all is well.

I hope he went to the ER. Be careful even how you wash out a tank or bucket which might have contained water with palytoxin in it. I wasn't and almost killed myself.

When new to the hobby, I hosed out a barrel used to transport live rock I bought from someone who was shutting down his tank. I had the nozzle set on a fine spray, which I now know allowed the palytoxin to enter the air I was breathing. My heart started pounding harder and faster than it ever had before. I drove to the hospital which took 7 minutes. I was afraid the paramedics couldn't get to me in time if I called 911. My pulse in the ER was 270 beats per minute and rising. The doc said I could have induced a fatal heart attack within a few more minutes.
