Im curious if anyone has successfully kept a panther grouper with smaller fish or not? Mine is 8" long and im wondering if he would eat a six line or royal gramma or a clownfish because id like to get one lol

Anyone else?

I cant think.of any dwarf fish that would survive.

I'm thinking the fish would have to have poisonous spikes/fins... i can't think.of a small fish that has that. Only lion and rabbit fish but those are medium sized fish

Royal gramma toast, maroon clown ok, smaller clowns full size maybe for a while. The question are sure what you got into with a panther grouper, I hope he is in at least a 300g, but a 500g would be better. These are euthanized at an alarming rate because no lfs will take them back, if fed properly they will be over a foot in 3 years time, if not they'll likely die to malnutrition. Cute as the dickens when they are small, not so much when they get large. Despite the amount of the young being sold, you will rarely find anyone keeping an adult.

Any fish that cant and sometimes cannot. . . .
"SOONER OR LATER WILL " !!!!!

recommended:

triggerfish 4+ inches
Lionfish 4+"
Pufferfish 3+"
Minniatus Grouper 4+"
Large Tangs/surgeonfish

Panthers are beautiful when they get large, so . . . . . . .
ARE YOU GOING TO TEASE US AND NOT POST A PIC OF IT ??? (lol)

It's going to eat every fish it can physically eat and catch plain and simple. It belongs with like size triggers, large wrasses (like banana/red coris), large angels, large surgeonfish and puffers until it gets big enough to eat a few of those slipping.

I was thinking a maroon clown because they can leave a nasty bite.
