Hey im curious is the panworld ps 200 supposed to have a rubber o ring? It seems mine doesn't. Is this part of the desighn or did i get a pump without an o ring?

Actually after investigation it appears it does!

Im perplexed. Even though it looked like there isnt any o ring, i filled it with water and it doesnt leak! What the!

Is this the idea behind a "seal-free centrifugal pump"?

This thread is a little old but yes there should be a large (thin) O-ring between parts #1 and #4. It is a "seal free" pump because the motor shaft does not run through the entire pump (which would require a seal to prevent leaking). These pumps are driven by magnetism.

Thank you. And never too old with good info! I noticed the o ring when i cleaned it i guess it needed time to unflatten.
