What would you guys recommend as far as PAR, placement and flow. I’ve hear that they do bette in low light but how much is low light? Thanks in advance

I put mine on the floor. About 24” away from an AI Prime HD on 100%. Same par as I keep my zoas at :) It grows faster in higher par but it goes whitish. I prefer slow growth in lower par so its a nice deep magenta color instead of baby pink

That’s what I have noticed. Mine started to turna bit white, but corallites are still yellow. What would you recommend?

Put it in lower lighting, here’s a pic of a red dragon in my other tank under higher par ( 6” ish under hydra at 70% intensity). It’s the exact same as my magenta frag (magenta frag came from this mother. Now I use the high par one as a mother, make frags, and put the frags in low par so they color up really nice :) you can see it’s up there in this pic with a Walt Disney, red planet, and forest fire digi

Has anybody else noticed that red planet never seems to encrust? Mine has been there for at least 4 months now and has not encrusted at all, just a lot of growth out. I can still pick it right up off the rocks. Neither of my frags have encrusted, is this just a red dragon thing?

Awesome colony man, how much par would low light be for you?

High flow and high light for mine, lit with Hydra 52HDs cranked to 11. Started as a 1/4” toothpick sized frag. Now about cantaloupe sized. Major trimming coming up if anyone needs a chunk.
