Hello all, i am looking to buy a PAR meter but i have honestly no idea where to start, what are good meters that can be used to underwater. i am not looking for anything to break the bank so something under $100 would be what i am looking for. and i dont know if that is completely unreasonable. if you could please respond with a link to some decent PAR meters that would be greatly appreciated. thank you all!

I just borrowed one from my LFS. That was on my smaller tank. Now, I can careless what the PAR is at. I just look at the corals and ensure they are happy.

Par meter run about $300. Ask your LFS if they have 1 u could rent.

Honestly, see if you can borrow or rent one. I bought one a year ago and have only used it once or twice. Complete waste of money and yes, they are expensive.
