I'm not running any optics on CREE xp-g whites and xr-e royal blues. I do have an acrylic sheet in place to keep spray of my LEDs which I left in place since my crocea has a nasty habit of jetting water all over the place when he thinks something has gotten between him and the light.

Anyway on to a quick test.

Normal lit room 0 PAR

9:48am outside on cloudy day 240 PAR

Surface of water with dimmer circuit turned down (my normal setting) both whites and RBs running 700 PAR (LEDs are a couple of inches above the surface)

~2" under surface 400 PAR

~4" under surface 300 PAR

~10-12" under surface 140 PAR

I will run some more tests later to see the difference between the whites and the RBs.

Any more results?

I found some stuff and have read a 100 threads. Looks like i'm about to try hooking one up.
