i want to ask about the PAR meter

It is a good option in my opinion. I have the full spectrum one and it has worked flawlessly for me on both my windows laptop and my macbook. The usb cable is plenty long to have your laptop sit comfortably away from your tank without fear of it getting wet.

Edit: You download the apogee software and it gives you a nice readout of the PAR and a graph.
