Hey everyone!
I am wondering what everyone is using to measure their light.
Is there a cheapish par meter that works under water?
Thanks.
Paul.

I just rented one from brs. Using it right now and its works great.
I live in Canada we don't have brs

The one I'm using now is apogee mq-510 . Its pricey at $540. For a occasionally use I don't know if I would buy it. But would be nice to have.

The Seneye also connects to a USB port on a PC, or optionally to their own wifi server. It retails for about $200 US & has outstanding performance, as reviewed by Dana Riddle-

Yea over $500 is just out of my cheapish range haha. Everyone's cheapish range can vary though!! Those seneyes are pretty cool looking and, I will look into the Amazon usb option.
Thanks everyone!

I bought this... connect to your laptop or computer via USB and has an app you run.
Wow, I did not know this was an option. Are you still using it? Still working fine? I guess the only downside some may see is the need to connect to a computer.

Yes, I still use it... works great. The cord is long enough so it's not a hinder to plug it into my laptop. I've used on a bunch of peoples tanks now.

Thank you. I also found a link to a BRS par meter review and that helped also. It didn't review this sensor but It was helpful.

Brs tested the 3 brands .
seneye is proved to be be a decent par meter .
And considerable cheaper .
I actually purchased a seneye from reefsupplies.ca ! Worked great except for my ammonia.... It read constant 0.499 ppm so they sent me a new one. Great customer service at seneye.

I was going to purchase one . I posted awhile ago regarding probes , monitors and what works .

You wouldn’t leave the par meter in the display all the time would you ?
