PAR Readings Of Our LEDs!

We just tested one of these over a 40 breeder, and with one unit, the par around the edges is about 80, and towards the middle on the bottom, 200. Halfway up in the middle, it is 300, more results will be posted, for an sps tank, 2 units would be reccomended for a 40 breeder.

You'd be ok running one of these over a 65g (just a taller 40g breeder) for softies even to the bottom? I will have a 3" sandbed, so that'll help.

Thank you for the reply. I'll be ordering one soon. Worst case is I run your LED's and supplement (if needed) with some spare PC's I have lying around collecting dust.

Are there some updated PAR readings for the new Photon 48" fixture?

I have the 48 over my 125, I LOVE it, I dont have par reading but I ramp up to aprox 85% on both channels, my SPS couldnt be happier and my corals on the sand beds are as open as ever. The photon has been the best bang for the buck Ive ever spent.

I got one a few months ago and currently have it at 50%. I had a ponape bird's nest in the top half of my tank and was bleacing out so i was afraid to ramp it up any higher than 50%. I just picked up a buch of stuff at a frag swap over the weekend and want to make sure I give them what they need. I got some favites and acans as well as a some montipora. Some updated PAR readings from RB's would be great.
