I rented a par meter from my lfs. My numbers are low. So after playing with it I realized that my glass top is restricting my light. What do I do for a lid? I have hob equipment. The lid helps with splashing etc!

I have really liked my window screen lid. Can’t beat it for the money. However, if splashing is an issue maybe you could glue an acrylic lip around it.

That is a lot for just glass... does it have one of those divider strips or anything else that may be blocking light?

Yeah it flips up on a hinge

Could you try removing the "hinge" and retesting?

The best thing I can do is move the light further away from the hinge
