I went ahead and ordered the Lumini Asta 20 marine version off Amazon for $55. I'll do an initial review and par testing either here or just start a new thread.

Were you able to get the PAR readings? I'm currently buying for a 10 gallon standard tank and am between the aqua knight, a80, and lumini. Thanks!

I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to get an adequate par chart for this. I still run it on a 10g. Is there any information you would like to know? What will you be trying to grow?

No worries on not having the PAR chart. I'm currently putting together a standard 10 gallon that I'll use as an observation/staging tank for fish and corals before they go into either my 40 gallon mixed reef or 150 FOWLR. I previously had the tank bare bottom with just PVC in it in my office but my wife wants to display it so I built a stand and will be adding live sand/rock and now need a better light. I run AI Prime HDs on the 40 gallon which will be across from this in the same open living space so I'd like to be able to reach similar spectrum. The 10 gallon will house the next fish for my other tanks (no permanent residents) and will have just a few softies and easy LPS frags. I see Premium Aquatics has the Aqua Knight for just $50 now. If you had to do it again, are you happy with the Lumini marine or would you try the Aqua Knight? Programmability doesn't matter too much as I'd like to be able to set color/intensity and just have it on a timed outlet. Thanks in advance!

If you can get an Aqua Knight for $50 I would do that. The lumini 20 has a bit more control but not enough coverage. You would have to get two unless you were going for a minimalist scape. And as far aesthetics go, the lumini asta 20 has a long goose neck that kind looks funny. I think the asta 20 has its pluses and minuses but for you wanting a 10g DT without having to buy two units, the aqua knight would be a good purchase.

I really like the look of your tanks there! Very nice rockscape under the marine light! Thanks for the extra vote for the Aqua Knight, I'll be going that route.

My husband just bought this light for me. How do you control it from your phone? I downloaded the app and created an account on their website but I can't login to the app.

Which light are you referring to?

Oh, looks like Reeferfoxx is the one who got the Lumini.
What app did you download? I don't see anything stating this light is controllable via Bluetooth or WiFi, just the dimmer switch on the cord.

Thank for this. I just received my Kingbo last week planning to use it for a Pico fish bowel but noting the Par may end frying everything!

Very interested in hearing what someone with experience has to say about this light. I've been using it on my 10g frag qt for ~4 months and everything I've put under it has seemed to do fine. All kinds of lps, zoas and a mushroom.
