So I have a Red Sea 300 XL (80 gal total) tank with 2 XR30s, 4 bulb T5 hybrid (3 B+, 1 C+). I measured par and getting 450 on rock work, 350-400 on sand pretty much everywhere. Back corner are at around 150-200.

Question is if my par is too high? Some Tenuis like HW are showing great color, but other acro like my Pinky The Bear is almost no color, but great PE.

To be clear my corals are not bleeching, and there are no burnt tips.

Alkalinity 7.5
Calcium 420
Magnesium 1350
Nitrate 9
Phosphate 0.03

I have the same tank with XR15 pros. The 30 is way more powerful and you may be running to high intensity. Your corals are your best factor to determine this. For LPS and soft down low that is to much but SPS may like those levels. Just depends on color and growth that you see.

I have heard of people running certain acros at 500 PAR. Most people recommend about 350. I think it varies for the individual types. If you corals are growing well and have good color, I would say. don’t mess with it.
