Seachem markets Paraguard as a safer alternative to using formalin. If we take that at face value, Paraguard should eliminate “surface” parasites & worms such as velvet and flukes. Should...

In the literature there is some information which supports using malachite green for ammonia burn and even for removing parasites. However, it’s effectiveness is not really clear, and I personally feel using methylene blue to treat ammonia burn is safer/more effective: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/methylene-blue.257467/

Thanks! Man this paraguard is “useless” LOL dang snake oil salesmen. I’ll stop asking questions about and put it a deep dark corner where I will hopefully forget about it. Hehehe

I haven’t found Paraguard to be of any benefit thus far, but I also haven’t tested it out very thoroughly.
