I have something killing my fish. 0ne of my aquariums is a 165g mixed reef. I have had a sail fin tang, mandarin gobi, cleaner wrasse and most recently a yellow mimic tang dye mysteriously. It is not very frequent that this happens however each of these fish appeared extremely healthy until they seemed to have some sort of neurological issue. They lay on bottom seemingly unstressed then dye hours later. Only one fish at a time are effected and each episode is months apart. Any thoughts?

How long had you kept all of the fish that died? Mandarins and cleaner wrasse tend to be very fragile animals that can wither away in aquariums, so if they were newer fish I would not include them as part of the mystery. Because you said this happens over a period of several months, I think parasites are mostly ruled out. I would guess maybe stray voltage with the information provided, but it could be any number of things. A general solution would be to do a series of large water changes over the next few weeks and run some activated carbon to remove potential toxins. Best of luck!
