RS 425XL
Tropic Marin Pro
Little over 4 months post cycle

pH 8.2
Alk 6.1 dKh (on the low side and the main one im concerned about)
NO3 2 ppm
Ammonia 0
Ca 430
Mg 1440
PO4 0.07

1.026 salt
78-79F

All my fish and inverts are happy, clowns, cardinals, chromis, tailspot, lawnmower, inverts etc.
No amazing noticeable growth except for the zoas. They are growing for sure. My elegance, torches, bubble, RBTA, shrooms all open up well and are nice and fat.

I do have some slight algae but the crew keeps it at bay.

I know TM pro salt is a little on the low side with the Alk but should I mess with it? Will I mess anything else up?

Whats my next move?

I think you are on the best course with what you are currently doing, but if you think your alk is low see what the difference is between a fresh batch of water and your tank water prior to a water change, if its significant find a decent 2 part additive (brs, esv, etc.) figure out how much you need to add and start dosing.

Parameters sound good, only thing I would recommend is adding some alkalinity supplements
Thanks

Ok, got it. Will it mess with anything else?
Correct me if Im wrong, alk is mainly for corals right? The TM pro shows 6.5 new and gets closer to 5.9 when I do a WC.

I'm using Tropic Marin Pro also. I am getting readings of 7.0 to 7.3 alk, but that's within the specs of the salt. Of course, i have nothing in my tank at present other than rock and sand. I am getting ready to add a few fish and some coral. I plan on dosing Tropic Marin's All-for-reef. If it works, i'll do the DIY recipe from BRS. From what I've read here, if it's working for you, don't mess with it. GL

Well then you are only losing .6 dkh between wcs I do not think it’s significant enough to start dosing. Eventually your consumption will grow as your corals grow when you get to the point you are losing .6 dkh in a day then you’re probably going to want to start dosing.
