Ok so I'm a little confused why my Calcium and Magnesium is high. I have only dosed Reef Fusion Part 2 about 15 cap fulls. I'm using tropic marin salt. I just started my skimmer today to help lower Nitrate and Phosphate.

Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 5ppm
Phosphate - 0.17ppm
Alkalinity - 8.1dKH
Calcium - 508ppm
Magnesium - >1500ppm (turned purple with no solution left) salifert test kit
PH - 8.2
Salinity - 35ppt
Temperature - 78°F

No Corals or lights are on. Tank looks clean so far.

What's the Calc and Mag reading for your freshly mixed saltwater, and for your freshwater?

Not sure I'll test that tomorrow. I'm using a 5 stage rodi unit from bulkreefsupply. I did make a mistake and mixed about 30 gallons of saltwater after I realized the old rodi was reading a tds of 40. Switched filters since the first rodi unit didn't even make 150 gallons

Having same issue I suspect something wrong with Pro Marin mixes in 2021?? Mg of RODI water 0; Mg of mixed @ 1.025 80F Mg 1600. Salinert.

Ya my triton test came back as 1500mg. No corals yet
