Ok I am trying to understand how alk cal and mag work. I have been testing weekly around the same time every week. Red sea test. Do water changes every other Friday. About 25-30 gallons. 35 salinity. Refractometer and calibration with solution. 79°.

I have a 120g with 40g sump. Roughly 130g after displacement. Started with reef crystals. Have switched to instant ocean after a move. I ended up doing about 50% change with io after the move.

Ok now my questions. I'm reading high on all 3 parameters. Tracking information in pictures. So I'm thinking about trying to run 10dkh, 480 cal, mag around 1300. Should I just let it level off to where I want and dose each as they start dropping below consistently over a week? My calcium will be first according to my test.

All was tested before with Api kh kit thus being why the numbers are low.

my mag seems super high and idk why.

All my corals are looking good. Acans and blasto growing heads. Duncan looks to be making a new head. Zoas spreading. Mushroom growing. Mainly just looking for advice on how and what

My ipinion:
If stuff looks good I would not change anything.

That's what I was thinking I just find it weird mag is off the charts. And ALK and calcium are not dropping with water changes with lower parameter salt. I will just keep checking and take steps as I need lol.
