what is a good device that tells me my water parameters and that is not a one time use kind of thing. thanks in advance

Are you looking for devices you can test your parameter yourself or an automated tester?
Eaither is fine as long as I do not have to constantly be buying things but I would best like a automated tester

The only thing on the marker right now that constantly test alkalinity, calcium, magnesium automatically is the apex trident, but that is a bit pricey.

Your best bet is to get regular test kits. Aquaforest, Salifert, Hanna instruments are all good.

And what do you mean by constantly buying things. What are you doing now that you are constantly buying things?

Thanks for your help. What I meant by constantly buying things was that for example for the aqua spin you need to be buying discs every time but i think getting something like the aqua spin will be my best bet. Thank you for your help

If you’re worried about buying test kits and your other post asked how many fish you can add. .
I think before starting a little research more about reefing or marine Fish keeping .

it is not a cheap hobby

I’m all honestly ..
what exactly is it you’re planning on setting up , any stocking list in mind ?

as for testing . I highly recommend salifert test kits as they are affordable and easy to use for almost everything
Ammonia , nitrate , ph , alkalinity , calcium and magnesium
If you’re serious about this hobby after invest in either Hanna instruments which will require buying reagents roughly every 25 tests

As mentioned in your other thread, Apex/Trident and Mastertronic will monitor your parameters, but - fair warning - with any machines you buy for testing, you will still need to occasionally buy and replace the testing reagents used (it's not super frequent, but you do have to do it every once in a while).

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
