Hi all! I would like to have any suggestion how to correct my tank problem. I have a cvue aio 40g tank.
Sg 1.025
Ph 8.2
Alk 9-10dkh
Cal 480
Mg 1450
Nit 2
Po4 0

I have almost 9 fish biggest will be 3 inches fox fax and dwarf yellow angel. Its a mixed reef but im trying to do sps dominant. Im dosing with red sea enegry, phyto daily and red sea color 2x a week. Feeding my tank mysis cube every other day and reef chili almost every day now.

Heres my prob i have 0 phosphate for almost 2 months now and i have read that having alk more than 8.5 will cause me some bur. Tips for my acro. All my corals are actually doing fine for now except for my bowerbanki(no success with all 3 tanks with acan). I have no skimmer or any media like carbon in my filter and doing water change every 2-3weeks. I have soft ball size cheato with some live rocks and pods as my refugium. Im not comfortable with dosing liquid to raise my phospahte as i tend to overdo stuff. Im over feeding my fish and even hold a naso tang for my friend for a few weeks still not getting my phosphate any change. I use hanna and salifert for the test by me and lfs as second opinion.

Cant see any noticeable coral growth yet for my acros but chalices is responding ok.

Question to correct my issue:
Should i add more fish to my system?
Double up my feeding?
Can i add bag of carbon just for just to have mechanical filteration for odor and water clarity?
Any supplement i can add for coral growth?
(Reef fuel, reef energy ........)
Thanks!

Since you don't want to dose phosphates, I personally would lower the ALK to the low 8s and just double up on the feedings until you start to see some phosphate in the system.
